Anchored bar-time workspace

Candle Close Timer

Count down from the current candle's opening timestamp to its fixed-duration reference close. Enter the open exactly as shown by your MT4 or MT5 chart; the page uses your device clock and never invents a next bar after the input expires.

Anchor the current candle

Use a fixed intraday MetaTrader timeframe from M1 through H12.

Entered

Copy the opening time of the current bar from your chart. Do not enter the current clock time.

How the anchored timer is calculated

The tool converts the entered candle opening timestamp and offset to one UTC instant, adds the official fixed duration of the selected MetaTrader timeframe, then compares that boundary with the device clock.

Expected reference close = Entered candle open + Fixed timeframe seconds
Remaining seconds = max(0, ceil(Expected close - Device time))

If the device time reaches or passes the boundary, the input becomes expired. The page does not roll forward because it has no evidence that another broker bar exists.

Worked example from the audited fixture

Suppose an H1 candle opens on 15 July 2026 at 15:00:00 broker time with an entered UTC+02:00 offset. The model converts the open to 13:00:00 UTC and adds the fixed 3,600-second H1 period, producing a 14:00:00 UTC reference close, or 16:00:00 in the same entered broker offset. At a reference device time of 13:30:00 UTC, 1,800 seconds—or 30 minutes—remain.

How to interpret the result

The 30-minute countdown is anchored to the entered bar open, not synchronized with the trading server. It becomes expired at the fixed boundary and does not manufacture the next candle. Broker quote gaps, chart-history rules, maintenance and an inaccurate device clock can make the platform bar differ from this arithmetic reference.

Assumptions and limits

  • The current candle open and server offset must be copied from or verified against the platform.
  • The device clock drives the countdown and can be early or late if the device time is inaccurate.
  • D1, W1 and MN1 are excluded because their boundaries depend on broker and calendar rules.
  • The timer does not receive ticks, confirm a market is open, inspect chart history or verify a close.
  • No weekend, holiday, halt, maintenance break or missing-quote adjustment is applied.

Frequently asked questions

  • Enter the opening timestamp of the current candle as shown by your platform, not the current clock time.
  • No. It uses only the candle open, offset and timeframe you enter plus the device clock.
  • The browser cannot verify that a next broker bar exists, so rolling forward would invent a market-data event.
  • Fixed MetaTrader intraday periods from M1 through H12 are supported. Daily, weekly and monthly periods are excluded.
  • No. The anchor is user-entered and the countdown uses the device clock. Neither is synchronized by this page.
  • Nothing is inferred or skipped. The result remains fixed-duration arithmetic and may not correspond to a real bar when quotes are absent.
  • The entered anchor or offset may be wrong, the device clock may drift, or broker quote and bar-construction behavior may differ from a simple time boundary.
  • No. It reports time arithmetic only and does not analyze price, recommend an entry or predict the next candle.
