Broker Server Time Converter

Convert one entered MT4 or MT5 broker timestamp into UTC and a selected destination time zone. You supply the UTC offset that applied on that exact date; the page does not infer it from a broker name.

Enter the source time

Copy the timestamp and verify the date-specific server offset.

Entered

Use the wall-clock date and time displayed by the platform or record.

Verify this with the broker; DST policies can change the offset.

Formatted by the browser's installed IANA time-zone data.

How broker time conversion works

The converter interprets the date and time as a wall-clock value at the offset you enter, subtracts that offset to obtain one UTC instant, then formats that instant in the selected IANA time zone.

UTC instant = Entered broker wall time - Entered UTC offset

For example, 15:00 at UTC+02:00 is 13:00 UTC. A destination zone's daylight-saving rule is applied by the browser only when formatting that same instant.

Worked example from the audited fixture

Enter 15 July 2026 at 15:00:00 as the broker wall time and UTC+02:00 as the date-specific source offset. Subtracting two hours gives 13:00:00 UTC. Formatting that instant in Asia/Singapore, which is UTC+08:00 on this date, gives 21:00:00 on 15 July 2026, so the destination calendar-day shift is zero.

How to interpret the result

The calculation identifies one instant only if the entered +02:00 source offset is correct for that broker and date. If the broker actually used +03:00, every derived time would be one hour wrong. Destination daylight-saving rules come from the browser's installed IANA data; the page does not maintain or infer the broker's policy.

Assumptions and limits

  • The broker timestamp and source offset are user-entered and are not fetched or verified.
  • The source offset must be the one that applied on the timestamp's date; broker DST or server policies can change.
  • The page has no broker-name offset table and does not identify a broker's server time automatically.
  • Destination formatting depends on the browser's installed IANA time-zone data, whose version is not exposed here.
  • The conversion does not validate a trade, execution, chart bar, statement or broker record.

Frequently asked questions

  • It is the time-zone context used by the broker's trading server for platform timestamps such as quote arrivals, charts and records.
  • No. You must verify and enter the UTC offset that applied on the exact source date.
  • Some brokers change server offset when daylight-saving rules change, while others can use different policies. A current offset may be wrong for a historical timestamp.
  • No. It runs in the browser and uses only the timestamp, source offset and destination zone you select.
  • The browser formats the converted instant with its installed IANA time-zone rules for the selected destination zone.
  • It compares the entered broker calendar date with the destination-zone calendar date for the same instant.
  • Yes, as a timestamp conversion if you know the source offset for that historical date. It does not verify the trade record itself.
  • Differences usually come from a different source offset, a different destination-zone rule set or an ambiguous timestamp without an offset.
