Independent follower-volume scenario

Trade Copier Scaling Planner

Scale user-entered source-trade volumes with a fixed multiplier or an explicit balance, currency, deposit-use and leverage scenario, then apply entered follower minimum, maximum, step and rounding rules.

Enter source trades and follower assumptions

Use one line per source trade. This independent planning model does not reproduce MetaTrader Signals, third-party copier software or broker execution.

Entered

Use one unique source-trade label and one positive volume per row.

Copier boundary: Model 1.0.0 calculates one hypothetical factor and one follower order per entered source trade. It does not account for open exposure, provider settings, margin, symbol mapping or transmission state.

How follower volume is planned

Fixed mode factor = Entered multiplier
Balance mode factor = (Follower balance × Deposit-use % × Currency rate ÷ Source balance) × Min(1, Follower leverage ÷ Source leverage)
Raw follower volume = Source volume × Effective factor

The currency rate converts one unit of follower-balance currency into source-balance currency. Enter 1 only when both balances share the same currency.

After scaling, each raw volume is rounded using the selected policy. Results below minimum become zero; results above maximum are capped at the entered maximum.

Worked example from the audited fixture

Assume source trades of 1.00, 0.50 and 0.10 lots, a $10,000 source balance and an 8,000-unit follower balance. Using 50% of follower funds and a 1.2 follower-to-source currency rate gives 4,800 source-currency units and a 0.48 balance factor. Because follower leverage 500 is not below source leverage 100, the leverage factor remains 1.00. Raw follower volumes are 0.48, 0.24 and 0.048 lots; rounding down to a 0.01 step produces 0.48, 0.24 and 0.04, or 0.76 lots in total.

How to interpret the result

One row is rounded in this scenario, while none is skipped below the 0.01 minimum or capped by the 100-lot maximum. This is a transparent independent planning model, not the MetaTrader Signals algorithm or a prediction of how a specific copier will map, size or execute trades.

Assumptions and limits

  • The model is independent and does not reproduce the complete MetaTrader Signals volume algorithm.
  • Provider and subscriber equity, current exposure, deposits, drawdown, stop levels and synchronization state are not retrieved.
  • Symbol contract differences, suffix mapping, margin, aggregate volume limits, latency, prices and slippage are excluded.
  • Rounding up can produce a planned volume greater than the raw scaled volume.
  • A planned zero means the adjusted result is below the entered minimum; it is not a prediction that a copier will skip the trade.

Frequently asked questions

  • It multiplies every source-trade volume by one entered factor before follower broker constraints are applied.
  • It converts the selected share of follower balance into source-balance currency, divides by source balance and applies a leverage cap when follower leverage is lower.
  • No. MetaTrader documents a broader process involving funds, deposit load, currency conversion and leverage constraints. This is a visible independent scenario.
  • It is the number of source-balance currency units represented by one follower-balance currency unit.
  • The planned follower volume becomes zero and the row is marked skipped below minimum.
  • The planned follower volume is capped at the entered maximum and marked accordingly.
  • Use the mode that matches the copier or procedure you are independently evaluating. The page does not recommend a mode.
  • No. It uses only browser-entered values and performs no platform, copier or broker action.
