FXOpen PAMM: Master and Follower Accounts, Fees and Risks

FXOpen PAMM lets a master trade an account while results are allocated to followers under an offer. The current support page limits PAMM ECN to FXOpen Markets clients. Followers can lose money and face offer-specific fees and withdrawal conditions. Check eligibility, the master’s complete record and the exit terms before assigning funds.

Who is the FXOpen PAMM service for?

FXOpen’s PAMM support page identifies FXOpen Markets as the eligible entity. Do not assume an account with the UK or EU company includes this service. The FXOpen review explains the entity distinction, and the country-availability guide helps frame the residence checks.

PAMM stands for Percentage Allocation Management Module. The broker describes a system that keeps participant records and distributes trading gains and losses. It is not a savings account, a fixed-income product or a guarantee that a selected master is suitable for you.

The public support material still contains legacy MT4 references alongside new-portal instructions. The newer instructions direct users to a TickTrader PAMM Investment Account. This establishes the documented portal route, but it does not prove that every historic master account has migrated or remains open to new followers.

A master makes trading decisions for the PAMM arrangement. A follower chooses whether to participate under that master’s offer. The master and follower page describes offer-based remuneration and distinguishes management of trading from a right to withdraw followers’ funds.

An Investment Account has a different job. Support describes it as an intermediary between the Main Account and PAMM service, not a trading account with its own terminal password. Its currency must match the PAMM account to be joined. This is why a normal trading-account login may not be the right starting point for following an offer.

The public PAMM ECN page lists $1,000 minimum master capital for a USD example and leaves the follower minimum to the offer. Do not convert that into a universal $1,000 follower requirement. Other-currency master amounts need checking in the current portal because the public tables describe them differently.

Read the offer before selecting a master

  1. Confirm that the service and offer accept your eligible account.
  2. Check the offer currency, minimum participation amount and all listed fees.
  3. Read when fees are calculated, when participation changes take effect and how withdrawal requests are handled.
  4. Review the trading history, including losing periods and open exposure, rather than only a headline return.
  5. Decide the amount you can afford to lose before assigning funds.

For the record, look for the period covered, drawdown, current equity, open positions and changes in trading size. A short rising curve can omit the conditions that would reveal a strategy’s weaknesses. Deposits and withdrawals can also complicate an informal comparison of balance charts.

These are due-diligence questions, not a rating of a named master. We did not join a PAMM offer, verify a manager’s private records or test withdrawals. No master is recommended in this guide.

A losing allocation is still your loss

The broker’s PAMM overview explains percentage-based allocation. The economic point is simple: delegating trade selection also delegates exposure to the master’s losing decisions. It does not convert trading risk into a protected return.

For a purely illustrative allocation, if your participating capital is one tenth of the relevant total, a €100 loss allocated proportionally would assign €10 before any separate fees or adjustments. The actual service’s calculation dates, capital changes and offer rules control a real allocation. This example is arithmetic, not a forecast or a statement of a live offer.

The leverage guide explains why borrowed exposure can magnify losses relative to capital. Ask how the master controls position size and what the displayed drawdown includes. A low drawdown over a quiet period does not establish a maximum future loss.

Ending participation, releasing funds to an Investment or Main Account, and receiving money through a payment method are separate events. A public statement that funds can be withdrawn does not establish immediate arrival, no exit fee or unrestricted withdrawal during every trading condition.

Read the current PAMM offer and service terms for request handling, open-position treatment, fees and the time at which participation changes. Then use the FXOpen withdrawal guide for the separate payment stage. The available portal route can differ between old and new accounts.

Keep the offer version, participation confirmation and transaction references. If the displayed available amount differs from the headline balance, ask official support to explain the calculation before submitting repeated instructions. Do not accept a master’s private message as a replacement for the broker’s official withdrawal process.

When PAMM is a poor fit

PAMM is a poor fit when you need predictable access to money, cannot evaluate the fee and exit terms, or are relying on a promotional return instead of understanding potential losses. It is also unsuitable to treat follower status as a shortcut around the entity’s eligibility checks.

A sensible decision can be to stop at research. You do not need to fund an account to learn that the offer’s withdrawal rules or trading risk fail your requirements. Forex and CFD trading involves a high risk of loss, and past performance does not guarantee future results.

Frequently asked questions

Is FXOpen PAMM available in the UK or EU?

The current support page identifies the PAMM ECN service as available to FXOpen Markets clients. It does not establish availability through the UK or EU entity. Confirm the company holding your account and your residence eligibility before following an offer.

How much does an FXOpen PAMM follower need?

The follower minimum depends on the master’s offer. The public USD master-capital requirement is a different condition and should not be applied to followers. Read the selected offer’s currency, minimum, fees and participation terms in the current official service.

Can a PAMM master withdraw a follower’s funds?

FXOpen describes a separation between trading management and withdrawal of followers’ funds. That does not protect followers from trading losses or remove their offer’s fees and exit terms. Use the official service to manage participation rather than sending money directly to a master.

Is a PAMM Investment Account a trading login?

Support describes it as an intermediary account for assigning and withdrawing funds, rather than a trading account with a terminal password. The newer portal instructions locate PAMM Investment under TickTrader account choices. Match its currency to the PAMM account and follow current on-screen instructions.

Can I withdraw from PAMM instantly?

No universal instant-withdrawal promise was established. Read the current service and offer terms for participation changes, open positions, calculation timing and fees. Once funds become available for payment, the chosen withdrawal method and receiving institution add their own processing stage.
