Enter the Cardano price path

Use confirmed fills or clearly hypothetical ADA prices under one verified unit convention. The calculator retrieves no quote, forecasts no exit and does not reproduce an exchange or broker statement.

Account-currency units per 1 quote-currency unit; no live FX rate is fetched.

Entered Cardano Trading Contract Math 1.0.0

The browser performs deterministic arithmetic only. It does not contact a broker, exchange, price feed, trading account, margin service or order ticket.

Specification boundary: ADA spot, CFD, perpetual and futures products can use different quantity units, price increments, currencies, margin rules and order grids. Verify every field and product availability on the intended venue or server.

How Cardano profit and loss is calculated

Direction-adjusted ADA price change = (exit − entry) × +1 for long or −1 for short
Gross quote-currency P/L = direction-adjusted price change × ADA per quantity unit × entered quantity
Gross account-currency P/L = gross quote P/L × quote-to-account rate
Net entered P/L = gross account P/L − entered total costs

The model applies the selected direction to exit minus entry, then multiplies by entered ADA or product units. Spot quantity, broker CFDs, perpetuals and dated futures can publish different unit and settlement conventions.

The entered price increment reports the path in smaller movements. It does not independently alter money P/L because the full entered price difference and quantity already contain the same arithmetic.

Net P/L subtracts only the nonnegative account-currency costs entered for the whole scenario. Actual fees, spread, funding, slippage, conversion and tax can make a statement differ.

A careful Cardano profit-calculation workflow

  1. Identify the exact spot, CFD, perpetual or futures product and its unit convention.
  2. Verify the price increment, quote or settlement currency and current product availability.
  3. Choose long or short and enter confirmed fills or clearly hypothetical prices.
  4. Enter position quantity under the same product unit used by the fills.
  5. Enter the scenario conversion and complete known account-currency costs.
  6. For a closed trade, reconcile fills, fees, funding and conversion with the statement.

Audited worked example

The audited example is a long entered at USD 0.20 and exited at USD 0.25, using 2,000 entered quantity units, 1 ADA per unit, an entered USD 0.0001 increment, USD-to-USD conversion 1 and USD 5 total costs. Gross P/L is USD 100 and net entered P/L is USD 95, or 23.75% of the USD 400 opening notional.

How to interpret it

USD 95 describes one entered price path, quantity convention and cost total. It does not forecast a return, frequency or probability, and a funding payment or different fill can change the realized result.

Spot ADA, Cardano CFDs and ADA futures do not share one automatic trading unit

ADA/USD and ADAUSDT can label spot assets, broker CFDs, perpetual contracts or dated futures. A spot order can use ADA quantity, while derivatives can use broker lots or exchange-defined contracts. A related Cardano price does not make those units interchangeable.

Coinbase Derivatives’ March 14, 2025 CFTC self-certification specified 1,000 ADA per contract and a USD 0.0001 minimum increment, while CME publishes 100,000-ADA and 10,000-ADA contracts for its separate Cardano futures family. Those examples demonstrate product-specific terms; neither is a preset for a spot order, CFD or perpetual.

Assumptions and limits

  • No live, delayed, settlement or forecast Cardano price is retrieved.
  • The entered product, unit, increment, conversion and costs are not independently verified.
  • One total-cost field cannot reconstruct every fee, spread, funding or slippage event.
  • Opening notional is exposure, not collateral, cash paid or maximum loss.
  • Eligibility, rejection, liquidation, custody, staking and tax are outside the model.
  • The output is scenario arithmetic, not a profit promise, signal or financial advice.

Where to verify Cardano inputs and availability

Open the exact ADA spot or derivative specification. Confirm quantity or contract units, price increment, settlement currency, minimum, maximum and step, calculation mode, trading hours, fees, funding and client permissions. A platform or venue supplies its current product values; the page does not infer them from the symbol label.

Confirm that the product and client classification are legally available in the relevant jurisdiction. The FCA prohibition on firms selling, distributing or marketing cryptoasset derivatives to UK retail clients remains in force. This page does not determine residency, professional status, broker permissions or regulatory eligibility.

Leveraged CFDs can produce rapid losses. Protection, availability and contract terms depend on jurisdiction, entity and client classification; the calculator does not determine which rules apply to a user.

Frequently asked questions

  • Apply long or short direction to exit minus entry, multiply by entered ADA units per quantity and entered quantity, convert currency, then subtract entered total costs.
  • The direction factor reverses the raw price change, so a lower entered exit is favorable and a higher entered exit is unfavorable before costs.
  • Yes as manual arithmetic when one entered quantity unit equals one ADA and the entered costs and conversion match the transaction.
  • Yes only after entering the exact contract or quantity multiplier used by that product. The page does not infer it from ADAUSD or ADAUSDT.
  • Enter a verified account-currency total for the whole scenario. The page does not invent fees, spread, funding, slippage or tax.
  • No. Opening price times position units describes exposure; required collateral, cash paid and maximum loss follow different rules.
  • No. It is arithmetic for one entered ADA price path and says nothing about probability, repeatability or future performance.
  • No. It retrieves no live, delayed, settlement or forecast Cardano price and connects to no wallet, broker or exchange.
