Litecoin Funding Fee Calculator

Estimate a Litecoin funding fee or credit from an entered LTC position, price, signed funding rate and explicit number of funding events.

Answer first

How a Litecoin funding fee is calculated

Entered notional = current LTC price × LTC per quantity unit × entered quantity × conversion
Periodic funding per event = entered notional × signed funding rate
Total periodic funding = per-event funding × entered event count
Annual mode = entered notional × signed annual rate ÷ 360 × entered units

Every value is entered manually. Verify the exact broker-server symbol, account, direction, unit and schedule before relying on the arithmetic.

Enter the Litecoin funding convention

For a periodic perpetual rate, use percent of current notional per funding event. Enter the signed cash-flow rate for the selected side: negative for a debit and positive for a credit.

Entered

Negative = debit; positive = credit. For periodic funding, enter the signed cash-flow rate for the selected side.

Count only product-defined settlement events at which the position is expected to qualify.

Entered LTC or product contract units per quantity unit. No universal LTCUSD or Litecoin unit is assumed.

Account-currency units per 1 quote-currency unit; no live FX rate is fetched.

Deterministic browser arithmetic only. No broker, exchange, account, price feed, financing schedule, liquidation engine, rollover calendar or order ticket is connected.

Verification boundary: Contract, calculation mode, rate unit, sign, schedule, margin tier, mark-price rule and adjustment treatment belong to the exact product. Replace every example with verified inputs.

How a Litecoin funding fee is calculated

Entered notional = current LTC price × LTC per quantity unit × entered quantity × conversion
Periodic funding per event = entered notional × signed funding rate
Total periodic funding = per-event funding × entered event count
Annual mode = entered notional × signed annual rate ÷ 360 × entered units

Linear perpetual documentation commonly describes a periodic transfer as position value multiplied by a signed funding rate. A June 2026 Litecoin perpetual filing, for example, specifies a rate multiplied by a product price and its 1,000-LTC trading unit. This page applies only the simpler entered-notional arithmetic and does not reproduce that filing’s premium-index construction or imply the product is available.

Funding interval, price basis, eligibility, caps and which side pays are product-specific. Enter one schedule unit per qualifying funding event only after checking the exact venue interval and whether the position will still be open at settlement.

The other modes support products that publish money per quantity unit, price units or annualized funding. Do not treat a periodic rate as a 360-day annual rate unless the exact product documentation defines that basis.

A careful Litecoin funding workflow

  1. Identify the exact Litecoin-linked product and its funding, financing or swap calculation basis.
  2. Confirm the LTC product unit, current price basis, quote currency and applicable funding interval.
  3. Select the position side and enter the signed cash-flow rate shown for that side.
  4. Count only settlement events at which the position is expected to remain open.
  5. Keep funding separate from price P/L, spread, commission, margin and liquidation arithmetic.
  6. Reconcile any settled amount with the venue transaction history or broker statement.

Audited worked example

The audited hypothetical periodic example uses an entered LTC price of USD 80, 2 quantity units at 5 LTC per unit, USD-to-USD conversion 1, a signed rate of −0.01% for the selected long side and three funding events. Entered notional is USD 800; one event is −USD 0.08 and three events total −USD 0.24.

How to interpret it

The −USD 0.24 result applies only to the entered −0.01% rate, notional and three events. It is not a live or predicted rate, a guarantee of settlement eligibility, total trade cost or an account statement.

Litecoin margin, funding or financing, and liquidation answer different questions

Required margin is the entered collateral estimate for opening exposure. Funding or financing is a separately entered debit or credit for carrying a position across a product-defined event. Liquidation price is a simplified adverse-price threshold under entered isolated-position assumptions. None of these figures is a stop-loss recommendation, maximum-loss guarantee or live broker value.

On a small screen, swipe the comparison table sideways to review every column.

Keep the three calculations separate until they use the same exact symbol, contract size, account currency and product rules. A broker CFD can use daily financing, while a crypto perpetual can use periodic funding and a venue-specific mark-price liquidation engine.

Assumptions and limits

  • No current or predicted funding rate, price, interval, position or conversion is fetched.
  • Rates can change before each event and can differ by venue, contract, account, tier and side.
  • Event count is user-entered and does not validate timestamps, position eligibility or partial holding periods.
  • Caps, floors, premium-index construction, interval changes and provider-specific settlement mechanics are excluded.
  • A positive funding result does not establish total profit because price movement and other costs remain separate.
  • The output is scenario arithmetic, not a funding forecast, account statement or financial advice.

Where to verify Litecoin product inputs

Open the specification for the exact symbol on the same broker server and account type. Record calculation mode, trade contract size, tick size and value, quote or profit currency, initial margin, margin rate, swap mode, signed long and short swap values, daily rollover multipliers and any product expiration. MetaQuotes documents the available properties; the broker supplies their current values.

Determine whether the product is a broker CFD, perpetual contract, dated future or another derivative. Verify its contract unit, margin tiers, maintenance threshold, fee reserve, funding or rollover schedule, price basis and liquidation reference. LTCUSD, LTC/USD and Litecoin labels do not prove identical terms. For liquidation, use the venue’s current order or position screen as authoritative because mark price, maintenance tiers, cross-margin balances, fees and funding can move the actual threshold.

For a completed trade, the broker statement is authoritative for account activity. Reconcile each debit or credit using confirmed position size, rate unit, event time and conversion. The calculator is designed to expose assumptions and support that reconciliation; it cannot replace the contractual product terms or determine tax and legal treatment.

Frequently asked questions

  • For periodic-percent mode, multiply entered LTC position notional by the signed funding rate for one event, then multiply by the entered number of qualifying events.
  • In this calculator, a negative signed input is an entered debit and a positive input is an entered credit for the selected side. Verify the venue sign convention before entering it.
  • One event is one product-defined settlement interval at which the position qualifies. The page does not infer timestamps, intervals or eligibility.
  • No. Direction is recorded for context, but the signed rate controls the cash-flow sign because venue rules and market conditions can change which side pays.
  • Yes only with annual-current-price mode when the source truly publishes an annual percentage using the disclosed 360-day basis. Do not place a periodic rate into annual mode.
  • No. It fetches no price, funding rate, schedule, account or position. Every value is entered manually.
  • No. Price movement, spread, commission, slippage and liquidation can outweigh an entered funding credit.
  • Verify product type, LTC or contract unit, price basis, signed side-specific rate, interval, settlement eligibility, account currency and conversion for the exact venue.
