Verification is an account-ownership check, not a promise that trading is suitable or that every payment method will become available. Begin with the correct registration and entity route. If your problem is simply a lost password, use the login recovery guide before uploading documents again.
Prepare two kinds of evidence

The provider’s verification instructions distinguish identity evidence from residential-address evidence. Listed identity examples include a passport, national ID, driving licence or residence permit. Address examples include a bank statement, suitable utility or fixed-service bill, tax document or government residence certificate.
Check what the live form accepts for your country and applicant type. A useful preparation checklist is:
- Your legal name matches the application, including relevant middle names.
- The address document shows your actual residential address and the required issue date.
- All edges and text are readable, without glare, fingers covering details or heavy image compression.
- Both sides are available if the selected document requires them.
- You can access the camera and device required by the current liveness check.
Do not edit a document to make it match an incorrect profile. Correct the profile through the approved route or obtain acceptable evidence. That creates a clear record instead of a second inconsistency.
Complete verification step by step
- Open the verification area from the signed-in portal. FXOpen’s Main account verification guide identifies the documents area under the profile. Follow the current prompt if your interface differs.
- Select the correct account-holder type. Personal, joint and corporate applications are not interchangeable. Joint and corporate applications can require additional ownership or authority evidence.
- Submit the requested identity and address evidence. Match each upload to its requested category. Keep a private note of the document type and submission date so you can identify a later query.

An accepted document and a fully verified account are different checkpoints. Check whether another document or question remains outstanding.
Reviewing documents takes time. We have not tested an approval turnaround, and the support material allows for additional requests and longer reviews. Do not plan a time-sensitive deposit or trade around an assumed approval deadline.
Why a file can meet one guide and fail another
The public instructions describe different upload flows and are not completely consistent on file formats and sizes. One lists a wider range of formats; another describes a narrower identity-and-liveness sequence. Treat the requirements displayed for your actual application as the working specification and ask support to resolve a conflict before sending repeated files.
For example, a clear photograph can still fail if it is uploaded under the wrong document category. A valid address statement can still be unsuitable if it carries an old address or belongs to another household member. File quality and document eligibility are separate checks.
Keep the original scan or bank-issued document. Repeatedly exporting it through messaging apps can reduce legibility. Avoid submitting a cropped screenshot when the provider requests the original statement or a complete document image.
Respond to the actual status
| What you see | Useful next action |
|---|---|
| Pending | Check that the application was submitted and no further request is waiting. Record the submission time and allow the stated review process. |
| A document is approved, but the account is not verified | Check the remaining document categories and account questions. Ask support which requirement remains open. |
| Rejected | Read the rejection comment, correct that specific issue and upload suitable replacement evidence. |
| No usable explanation or an upload loop | Send the error wording, device/browser and approximate time through the official support channel. |
A request for a newer bank statement does not mean a sharper copy of the old statement will help. Likewise, a naming discrepancy needs a record correction or an accepted explanatory document, not cosmetic image editing.
Keep follow-up secure and focused
Use the FXOpen support and complaints guide to identify the correct entity contact. Ask for the specific outstanding requirement and the approved upload channel. Avoid posting full passports, statements, account numbers or security codes in a public forum.
Before attempting to fund the account, review the deposit guide. FXOpen describes verification as a prerequisite for financial operations. If a later withdrawal is blocked, use the withdrawal-problem checklist to separate verification from payment-method and balance issues.
Frequently asked questions
Which proof of address should I prepare?
Use a document accepted by the current application that shows your name and residential address. Check its issue-date, language and format requirements; a familiar document type is not automatically acceptable.
Can I use someone else’s utility bill?
Do not assume it will prove your residence. Ask the verification team which evidence is acceptable when household bills are not in your name.
Does an approved identity document mean verification is complete?
Not necessarily. Another document, liveness check or application question may remain. Confirm the overall Main account status.
How long does FXOpen verification take?
It depends on the entity, application and follow-up requests. We have not measured approval speed; use the current provider guidance and ask about an outstanding case rather than relying on a guaranteed deadline.
