FXOpen Deposits: Funding Methods, Limits and Account Transfers

Check the funding methods, limits and fees inside your verified FXOpen account before paying. The available options depend on the entity and payment provider. Select the intended destination and currency, use an account in your own name, and keep the transaction reference until the funds are credited.

Read the withdrawal rules first

A payment-method list from an old review is not a current funding instruction. Start with the entity and country checks and your verification status. FXOpen Markets’ funding page directs clients to their account for current options and fees and requires deposits from an account in the client’s name.

Use the correct entity’s payment information

  1. Read the matching withdrawal conditions first. The withdrawal guide explains why the route used to deposit can matter later.
  2. Open the funding area in the authenticated portal. Follow the method shown for your account. If it is missing, ask why rather than using bank details from a message or another customer.
  3. Select the intended destination. Check whether the form credits the Main account or a trading account. Confirm the account number and currency before proceeding.
  4. Review the amount, conversion and fees. Distinguish the gross amount you send from the amount expected to arrive. Include any bank or payment-provider charges.
  5. Complete the authorized payment flow. Use your own eligible payment account. Confirm the recipient and any required reference against the instructions generated for this transaction.
  6. Save the receipt and inspect the portal history. A bank debit and a credited trading balance are different events. Keep the reference until both sides reconcile.

For a wire deposit, the documented bank-transfer workflow generates the payment instructions from the portal. Reusing an old invoice risks sending the wrong reference, currency or recipient details.

Do not confuse three different amounts

The trading-account opening minimum, the payment processor’s minimum and a sensible risk budget answer different questions. A small amount accepted by a funding form does not automatically satisfy the account’s opening conditions. A larger deposit does not make a poorly sized trade safer.

Check both the minimum and maximum for the chosen method. If a transfer is near a threshold, ask whether fees are deducted before the required amount is measured. Splitting one intended deposit into repeated attempts can create additional fees and a harder transaction trail.

Plan currency conversion before paying

Suppose, purely as an illustration, you intend to convert GBP800 into USD at 1.25 dollars per pound. The gross conversion is USD1,000. That is not a provider quote: the amount credited can differ because of the applied rate and charges.

Use the currency converter for a planning comparison, then read the actual quote in the payment flow. Repeated GBP-to-USD-to-GBP conversions can introduce costs even when a broker advertises no separate deposit fee. The fees and spreads guide separates funding charges from the cost of a trade.

If the deposit is missing

First establish whether the payment provider shows declined, pending or completed. Then inspect the FXOpen history for the intended account and currency. Do not assume funds in a Main account are already assigned to the trading account you are viewing.

The provider’s deposit support instructions include a missing-funds notification route. Supply the amount, currency, payment time, method and reference through the secure channel. Avoid another deposit until you understand the first attempt’s status.

A name mismatch, missing reference or unsupported method needs a specific answer. Contact support with the evidence; do not pay an unsolicited “release fee” to an individual claiming to unlock the transfer.

Frequently asked questions

Can I fund FXOpen from another person’s bank account?

FXOpen Markets states that funding must come from an account in the client’s own name. Confirm the applicable entity policy and do not use a third party as a shortcut.

Is every deposit instant?

No universal arrival time is established. The method, provider, bank and checks matter. A fast-processing label is not a guarantee that every payment will be credited immediately.

Why does the funding minimum differ from the account minimum?

The payment method and trading account can impose separate conditions. Check both before sending money, including whether fees change the net credited amount.

What if the bank debited me but FXOpen shows no funds?

Keep the receipt, inspect the selected account and currency, and report the missing payment through the official route. Establish its status before sending another transfer.
