Separate the three minimums
An account-opening amount, a payment-system limit and the cash needed for a planned trade answer different questions. The current deposit FAQ gives the first of these. Your available funding screen gives the second. Position size, stop distance, costs and margin determine the third.
| Account or service | Published entry threshold | Separate check |
|---|---|---|
| Pro / ProCent / Prime / ECN | $10 or equivalent | Payment method and account currency |
| R StocksTrader | $100 | Instrument and platform conditions |
| Copy Trading investor | $100 or selected trader’s higher minimum | Allocation, minimum order and fee |
| Welcome Bonus | $10 or €10 qualifying deposit | New-client, verification and payment eligibility |
A standard forex account with a $10 opening minimum is not automatically easier to size than a cent account with the same deposit. The account comparison shows why the contract and minimum order matter more than the headline alone.

Why $10 may be too small for your intended trade
Consider EUR/USD with a standard contract of 100,000 euros per lot. At 0.01 lot, one pip is approximately $0.10 in a USD account. A 20-pip stop therefore implies $2 of price risk before spread, commission or slippage. On a $10 balance that is 20%, which is a very different decision from merely meeting the deposit minimum.
If an illustrative risk limit were 1% of $10, the allowance would be $0.10. At the same 20-pip stop, the standard-lot calculation is $0.10 ÷ (20 × $10) = 0.0005 lots. That is below a 0.01 standard-lot minimum. Raising the size to 0.01 to satisfy the order ticket would multiply planned price risk by 20. The calculation is a sizing demonstration, not a recommendation to trade that account.
Use the position-size calculator with the correct units. If a practical order cannot fit your chosen loss limit, the sensible choices include a smaller contract, a demo or not placing the trade. Depositing more is not the only response, and a tighter stop should follow the trade idea rather than being forced to fit a small balance.

A cent balance changes the display
On ProCent, $10 appears as 1,000 US cents. That has not multiplied the money available. A cent account also changes how lot quantities translate into standard exposure. Read the ProCent conversion guide and the account’s own symbol specification before entering numbers into a standard forex calculator.
Be particularly careful when an EA reads a balance of 1,000 and assumes it is dollars. Its default fixed lot or money-management setting may be inappropriate. Compare the planned loss in actual dollars, then confirm that the platform’s displayed cent value represents the same amount.
Check the payment route before sending money
Open the deposit instructions for the eligible account, select the intended method and read its minimum and settlement currency. A payment provider can require more than the broker account minimum. Conversion can also change how much reaches the trading account, and an unavailable local method cannot be made available by choosing a smaller transfer.
Use your own payment details and keep the reference. Compare the amount sent, the amount credited and any conversion shown. Do not repeat a transfer immediately because the trading balance has not refreshed; a second payment may duplicate the funding rather than resolve the original delay. If a minimum is unclear, obtain the exact requirement from the displayed method or official support first.
Do not fund only to unlock a benefit
Copy Trading requires more than the basic $10 account minimum. A selected strategy can set an investor threshold above $100, and minimum trade sizes can still prevent proportional copying. The required amount is an access condition, not evidence that the allocation can survive the strategy’s drawdown.
The Welcome Bonus has a separate qualifying deposit and funding rules. Ordinary trading costs continue to affect a small balance even if credit is awarded. Keep a separate cash buffer for foreseeable fees and avoid relying on unearned rewards to make a trade affordable.
Before committing money, write down the cash loss from one planned trade, the cost of opening and closing it, and what several consecutive losses would do to the account. That turns an abstract minimum into a decision about an amount you can afford to lose. We have not made a test deposit and cannot verify the routes offered to a particular residence.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum RoboForex deposit?
The current FAQ lists $10 or equivalent for Pro, ProCent, Prime and ECN, and $100 for R StocksTrader. A payment method can have its own minimum. Check the amount displayed for the intended account currency and funding route before submitting a payment.
Does $10 mean I can trade any instrument?
No. Minimum order size, contract value, margin and cash risk can make the intended position unsuitable or unavailable at that balance. Calculate the position’s cash loss at the planned stop, including costs and execution uncertainty, instead of using the account minimum as a sizing rule.
Why does ProCent show 1,000 after a $10 deposit?
The display is in US cents: 1,000 cents equals $10. It is not a larger dollar balance. Convert both the balance and order units before using a standard-lot calculator or an EA’s money-management setting.
Does copy trading use the same minimum?
No. The service specifies at least $100 for an investor, or the higher minimum set by the chosen trader. Minimum trade sizes and account conditions can also prevent a small allocation from reproducing the strategy’s positions proportionally.
Can a payment method require more than $10?
Yes. The provider explicitly notes that payment systems may impose their own minimum. Check the actual method before submitting. Also check the payment currency and any conversion, because the amount sent and the amount credited may differ.
Is the minimum a recommended beginner budget?
No. It is an entry threshold. A suitable decision requires cash-risk sizing, costs, affordable-loss limits and the option to keep practising on a demo. The smallest permitted order may already exceed a chosen loss limit, even when the deposit satisfies the broker’s opening condition.
