JustMarkets Fees, Spreads and Raw Commission Explained

JustMarkets Standard, Cent and Pro accounts have no separate trading commission; Raw Spread uses instrument-specific charges. On the international Raw schedule, forex costs $3 per lot per side and XAUUSD/XAGUSD $3.50. Compare spread, both commission sides, holding costs and conversion rather than judging a zero-spread headline alone.

The bid–ask spread is only one part of a trade's cost. An account can have a tighter spread and still cost more after commission, particularly when comparing different instruments or contract sizes.

These are minimum advertised spreads, not typical quotes or a measured average. Read the account comparison for deposit and platform differences. Cent volume also needs its own conversion; a cent lot and a standard lot are different units.

Raw commission: opening and closing both count

The international help schedule updated 8 September 2026 states $3 per lot per side for forex, and $3.50 per lot per side for XAUUSD and XAGUSD. Commission is calculated in USD and converted when the trading account uses a different currency. Indices have instrument-specific charges, while the help schedule states no commission for crypto and EU/US shares. Always check the actual symbol specification.

Illustrative tradeOpen plus close calculationCommission only
0.05 standard lot, forex0.05 × $3 × 2$0.30
0.10 standard lot, forex0.10 × $3 × 2$0.60
0.50 lot, XAUUSD0.50 × $3.50 × 2$3.50

These examples exclude spread, swap, slippage and conversion. The headline on a Pro/Raw comparison card still says $3 per side, so the more specific current help schedule matters for gold and silver. The gold trading guide covers XAUUSD contract and cash-exposure checks.

Spread, commission, holding costs and execution differences form the full trading cost
Editorial cost checklist. Not every charge applies to every account or trade.

A full EUR/USD cost example

Suppose an international Raw account in USD trades 0.10 standard lot of EUR/USD, with a 100,000-EUR contract per lot. Each pip is $1 at that volume. If the spread at entry is an illustrative 0.4 pips, its cash cost is $0.40; add $0.60 round-trip commission for a $1.00 spread-and-commission cost.

If you then hold overnight, add the actual applicable swap. Slippage may change the execution result further. The 0.4-pip assumption is not a recorded JustMarkets quote, and this example does not forecast the cost of a future trade.

For a Pro account, compare its actual spread cash value with Raw's spread plus commission at the same time. Comparing a minimum Pro spread with an unrelated Raw quote does not establish a winner.

Use the total trading cost calculator to apply your own spread, commission and holding-cost inputs. Match the contract and account currency. Enter commission per standard lot per side in the selected account currency, then select “Two sides” for a full opening and closing. The result is an estimate from your inputs, not a JustMarkets quote.

Swap-free does not mean all costs disappear

The broker distinguishes swap-free statuses and eligible symbols. The swap-free account guide explains how to check them. A swap-free label does not remove the spread, commission or trading losses, and an instrument outside the relevant list can still have a holding charge.

Before carrying a position, read the swap or fee fields for the exact symbol and account. Where a multi-day charge or handling fee applies, include that in the decision to hold. Do not estimate carry from an old promotional banner.

Funding, conversion and inactivity

JustMarkets advertises no broker commission on deposits or withdrawals, but payment systems may charge independently. A currency conversion can also change the cash amount. Compare the payer amount and account credit on the deposit screen, and the eligible return method in the withdrawal guide.

The account-closing help page also discloses a $5 inactivity fee every 30 days from day 151 after 150 calendar days without the specified trading and/or non-trading operations, when the account has a positive balance. Zero-balance account archiving follows separate rules. Ask support how those terms apply if you plan to leave money unused; do not assume an occasional login resets a financial inactivity clock.

Do not reuse the international schedule for Europe

The EU Raw account lists commission in units of the account's base currency. Its account and client-protection terms differ too. Use the EU guide and that entity's cost documents instead of converting the international headline and calling it an EU quote.

How to record a meaningful cost comparison

  1. Identify the account, entity, symbol, contract size and currency.
  2. Record bid and ask together during the session you intend to trade.
  3. Convert the spread into cash at the actual volume.
  4. Add both commission sides and any expected holding charge.
  5. After a demo or live execution, distinguish the quoted price from the actual fill in your own records.

Use demo to learn the process, while recognising that demo execution does not prove live execution quality. Return to the main review to weigh costs alongside the entity and funding checks.

Questions traders ask

Is a Raw Spread account free when the spread is zero?

No. A zero quoted spread does not remove applicable commission, holding charges, conversion or execution differences.

How much is JustMarkets Raw gold commission?

The international help schedule updated 8 September 2026 lists $3.50 per lot per side for XAUUSD and XAGUSD, or $7 per lot for a full open and close, before other costs.

Does JustMarkets have an inactivity fee?

Its international account-closing help page discloses a positive-balance inactivity charge of $5 every 30 days from day 151 under the stated inactivity conditions. Account archiving is a separate process.
