There are three different figures to separate: the account's starting minimum, the payment method's transaction limit and the capital needed for your intended risk. Confusing them is how a small “test deposit” turns into an oversized first trade.
Current initial account minimums
| Offering | Account | Published initial minimum |
|---|---|---|
| International | Standard | $10 |
| International | Standard Cent | $10 |
| International | Pro | $200 |
| International | Raw Spread | $200 |
| EU | Pro or Raw Spread | €100 |
These amounts were checked against the current account pages on 14 September 2026. Older $1 or $100 international tables should not replace the current schedule. See the account comparison for platform and pricing differences, and the EU guide if your agreement is with the Cyprus company.

Why the funding screen can show a different number
A bank, card processor or wallet can impose its own range. If an account starts at $10 but an available method requires a larger transaction, the route cannot necessarily fund it for $10. Conversion and provider fees can also change what arrives in the trading account.
Before confirming, compare the amount you send, the currency conversion, the expected amount credited and the method's limits. Do not use an approximate currency conversion in an article as the amount a provider will accept. The deposit guide covers the actual checks and payment-ownership requirements.
A $10 deposit is not a $10 risk plan
Consider an illustrative EUR/USD trade on a USD account with a 100,000-unit standard contract. A 0.01-standard-lot order has about $0.10 per pip of exposure. A 20-pip stop therefore represents $2 of planned price risk before spread, slippage or other charges.
On a $10 balance, $2 is 20% of the account. The broker may accept the deposit and the platform may accept an order, yet the position can still be much too large for a modest risk limit. A stop order also does not guarantee the planned exit price.
A Cent account uses different lot units, which can allow a smaller position. Work through the Cent sizing example before entering a number into its volume box. The account name alone does not prevent an order-entry mistake.

How to work backwards from a risk budget
- Choose the cash amount you are prepared to risk on the example trade.
- Define the stop distance from the trade idea, not from the deposit minimum.
- Use the symbol's pip or tick value to calculate volume.
- Check the account's minimum volume and volume step.
- Allow for trading costs, execution differences and required margin.
If the smallest allowed order is too large, use a suitable smaller-contract account or continue on demo. Depositing more is not the automatic answer. Our leverage and margin guide explains why raising leverage does not fix excessive cash risk.
For a standard forex contract, use the lot-size calculator to work from your cash-risk limit. Match the account currency and contract assumptions, then check the actual minimum volume and step. Convert Cent units separately; a standard-lot result is not a Cent order size.
Before making the first deposit
Confirm the entity and complete the required verification. Use a payment method in your own name and understand the return route before sending money. Read the withdrawal rules as carefully as the deposit screen.
Check offers separately. The Rewards Hub guide does not promise a universal deposit bonus, and the account starting minimum does not establish any promotion's qualifying amount.
If you are still learning the platform, the demo guide is the more useful next step. You can practise placing, modifying and closing an order before deciding whether a live account fits.
Questions traders ask
What is the minimum deposit for JustMarkets Standard?
The current international Standard account page lists a $10 initial minimum. Your available payment method may have its own minimum and conversion rules.
Can I open Pro with $100?
The current international Pro page lists $200. The separate EU Pro account starts at €100, so check the entity rather than mixing the two offers.
Is $10 enough for safe forex trading?
A broker minimum is not a safety threshold. Calculate the cash risk at the smallest allowed order size; if that exceeds your limit, use demo or a suitable smaller contract.
