JustMarkets Malaysia: Regulation and Account Checks

Malaysian readers should verify the exact company and claimed local authorization through the SC Investment Checker before funding. A foreign licence, Bahasa Malaysia page or MYR payment route does not establish SC authorization. Check conversion, payment ownership and the withdrawal route separately.

Check JustMarkets account availability

For a Malaysian reader, the important distinction is between being able to reach a website and verifying that the company is authorized to offer the relevant service locally. A Bahasa Malaysia page or ringgit payment option may be convenient. Neither is a substitute for checking the legal company and the activity it is permitted to carry out.

Begin with the SC Investment Checker

The Securities Commission Malaysia Investment Checker is designed to check whether an individual or entity is authorized by the SC to offer, promote or sell capital-market products and services. Use the company name from the agreement, not only the JustMarkets brand name.

  1. Ask for the precise legal company, registration reference and the claimed Malaysian permission.
  2. Search the SC checker using that company name and any supplied registration details.
  3. Open the matching record and compare status and permitted activity. A similar name is not an exact match.
  4. Check any website or contact details against the record before following a promoter’s instructions.
  5. If the match is unclear, ask the SC through its published contact channel. Pause funding until you understand the position.

This guide does not establish Malaysian authorization for the offering. A foreign licence listed on the broker’s regulations page is not itself an SC authorization. The entity guide explains the group-company distinction.

Conceptual legal company and local permission checks
Conceptual verification checklist by ForexMT4Indicators.com. For Malaysia, check the exact company and activity through the SC; an offshore licence or MYR payment route is not local authorization.

Use alerts as a warning check, not an approval list

The SC Investor Alert List identifies unauthorized entities and warns that its list is not exhaustive. Absence from it is therefore not approval. Check both the authorization record and alerts; they answer different questions.

Search for the exact company, brand and domain and compare any similarly named entry carefully. Do not attribute an alert about a different business to JustMarkets because both names begin with “Just.” Conversely, a promoter cannot establish safety merely by showing a search with no result. Record the date and the terms used in your own check.

If someone claims to be a local representative, verify that claim separately. The person’s social following, messaging group or bank account is not proof of the broker’s local regulatory status. No part of this guide recommends bypassing a local restriction.

Separate MYR payment handling from account currency

Before paying, compare the amount leaving your bank with the amount credited to the trading account. Ask whether the conversion is performed by your bank, payment processor or broker and whether another conversion could occur on withdrawal. Do not assume a USD-denominated account will credit one dollar for every ringgit sent.

As a deliberately hypothetical example, MYR 500 divided by an all-in rate of MYR 4.50 per USD would credit about USD 111.11 before any separate charge. If MYR 10 is deducted first, MYR 490 divided by 4.50 is about USD 108.89. These are arithmetic examples, not current exchange rates or JustMarkets fees.

The broker’s payment overview directs clients to the available methods and conditions in their Personal Area. Use our deposit guide for the workflow and the minimum-deposit guide to separate the account minimum from payment-method limits. A method shown to another Malaysian client may not appear for your entity or verification state.

Confirm the return route before depositing

Check whether the account and payment method are in your own name, which route returns deposited principal, and what evidence would be needed if a payment is delayed. A deposit promotion does not replace those checks. Our withdrawal guide explains normal processing stages and the need to distinguish broker processing from receipt by a bank.

Before accepting a reward, read its eligible account, instruments, expiry, required activity and claim rules. The current bonus and Rewards Hub guide separates personalized offers from old JustForex advertisements. Do not trade extra volume simply to justify a reward whose value is smaller than the possible loss.

Use an evidence-based decision record

QuestionEvidence to keep
Who holds the account?Company name and agreement
What local authorization is claimed?Exact current register record or regulator clarification
What will funding cost?MYR debit, credited currency, rate and disclosed charges
How can funds return?Method rules and payment ownership evidence
Where does a dispute go?Entity complaint procedure and applicable authority

The main review covers the broader product tradeoffs. If an answer remains unclear, ask through the broker’s official channels and keep the reply. Use our support guide to prepare a specific question. A sensible decision can be to wait: you do not need to make a deposit to discover whether a company’s claim can be verified.

Frequently asked questions

Does a Bahasa Malaysia page prove Malaysian authorization?

No. Language availability does not establish the company’s local permission. Check the legal company and relevant activity through the SC Investment Checker.

Is absence from the SC Investor Alert List approval?

No. The SC says the alert list is not exhaustive. An authorization check is separate from an alert search.

Does this guide confirm that JustMarkets is SC-authorized?

No. It does not establish a Malaysian authorization for the offering. Verify any such claim directly with the SC using the exact company details.

Will every Malaysian account have the same MYR payment options?

Do not assume that. Available methods, limits and conversion depend on the current account, company and payment screen.

Should I use a local agent’s bank account to fund?

Do not assume a local agent is an authorized payment route. Verify the official same-name method and recipient instructions in your account before sending money.
