Official calendar rows
Dates and closure scope come from the named public authority page and keep direct source links.
Check officially listed 2026 closure dates for four major currency centres: the US Federal Reserve schedule, ECB TARGET closing days, England and Wales bank holidays, and Bank of Japan office holidays. The calendar shows authority facts and exact pair-date overlap—not assumed liquidity, spread or trading effects.
Start with the source status, then filter authority rows or test one supported currency pair on one 2026 date.
The calendar will render only after validation.
Dates and closure scope come from the named public authority page and keep direct source links.
Model 1.0.0 counts whether zero, one or both selected currencies have a row on that exact date.
The result does not estimate FX liquidity, spreads, volatility, price direction, broker hours or an appropriate action.
Choose one of the six pairs formed by the four covered currencies. A zero result means only that this limited source set has no matching row.
Filter by month or currency. Export includes only the currently visible verified rows and preserves source URLs.
These four calendars are not interchangeable. Each row keeps the scope of the authority that published it.
The calculation is an exact date-and-currency match. It does not fill adjacent business days, infer substitute days, map a national holiday to every financial venue, or assert that the decentralized global forex market is closed. Weekend status is derived only from the ISO calendar date.
| Currency | Official calendar used | Boundary retained by this page |
|---|---|---|
| USD | Federal Reserve Financial Services holiday schedule | Federal Reserve Banks and Branches schedule; weekend notes are preserved in row scope. |
| EUR | ECB public holidays and TARGET closing days | Only dates marked by the ECB as TARGET closing days are included. |
| GBP | GOV.UK England and Wales bank holidays | England and Wales only; Scotland and Northern Ireland calendars are outside this release. |
| JPY | Bank of Japan holiday schedule | Bank of Japan office holidays, including the year-end dates listed by the Bank. |
The former calendar attached fixed high/medium impact ratings, universal volume-reduction percentages, affected-pair lists, spread claims and trading actions to a 391-row manual dataset. Those rows and inferences were removed. This rebuild restores only directly sourced authority dates and a reproducible overlap count; the Forex Session Clock holiday overlay remains separately paused until its own integration is reviewed.
The calendar joins an exact 2026 date and currency code to rows transcribed from four named authority calendars. For a selected pair, the overlap count is base-currency match + quote-currency match, so the only possible values are zero, one or two.
Each displayed row retains its authority, jurisdiction, closure scope, verification date and direct source URL. The calculation adds no liquidity, spread, volatility or trading-impact estimate.
On 1 January 2026, the governed dataset contains a USD Federal Reserve holiday row and a EUR TARGET closing-day row. Selecting EUR/USD for that date therefore gives 2 source matches: one for each pair currency.
The arithmetic is EUR match 1 + USD match 1 = overlap count 2.
A count of two means only that both currencies have a matching row in this four-calendar dataset. It does not mean every bank, broker, settlement service or the decentralized FX market is closed.
The 2026 release covers USD through the Federal Reserve holiday schedule, EUR through ECB TARGET closing days, GBP through England and Wales bank holidays, and JPY through Bank of Japan office holidays. Other currencies, UK regions, exchanges and settlement systems are outside this release.
No. Each row states only what the named authority calendar lists. It does not prove that every bank, broker, exchange, settlement system or the decentralized global FX market is closed.
No. Model 1.0.0 performs an exact date-and-currency overlap count only. Liquidity, spread, volatility, slippage, volume, price direction and trading-action outputs remain blocked.
Some authority calendars list the holiday's calendar date even when it falls on Saturday or Sunday. The page retains that observed row and marks it as a weekend date instead of silently moving it to an adjacent weekday.
It counts whether zero, one or both currencies in the selected pair have an official row on the exact selected date. A zero result means only that this limited four-calendar dataset has no match; it is not evidence of normal market conditions.
Yes. Export visible .ics downloads only the rows matching the current month and currency filters. Each event includes the authority, closure scope and official source URL, without a liquidity or trading inference.
