Thai residents should read the official warnings before treating FBS website access as permission to trade or send money. The Thai SEC has an investor-alert entry naming FBS and its domains. The Bank of Thailand also publishes warnings about unauthorised forex business and related transfers. This guide explains the scope of those notices and how to organise an existing account problem.
A Thai-language interface may make a product easier to understand. It does not answer the local authorisation question. For general provider features, see the FBS review; the local notices below take priority in this country guide.
Read the Thai SEC alert exactly
The Thai SEC investor-alert detail names FBS, lists fbs.com and fbs.co.th/th among its references, and labels the action “Unlicensed digital asset business.” The page reviewed states it was last updated on 3 July 2026.
That category should not be silently rewritten as a finding about every forex instrument or every legal entity. It is nevertheless a relevant official warning about the named brand and websites. Read the alert itself, identify the product you were offered and seek clarification from the authority if the scope is unclear.
Do not rely on an affiliate’s claim that a warning no longer matters because a website is accessible. Technical access, a licence in another country and permission to offer a service in Thailand are separate questions.
The Bank of Thailand warning is a separate issue
In its 25 June 2026 clarification, the Bank of Thailand addresses unauthorised forex business and related receipt or transfer of funds. This is a general regulatory notice, not an FBS-specific customer-account decision. Its practical implication is that a local payment route or an offer to transfer baht through an intermediary should not be treated as permission.
Take the proposed instrument, provider and payment purpose to the relevant Thai authority or your authorised bank for clarification. Do not describe a trading remittance as an unrelated purchase to make it pass. A bank declining a transfer is a reason to resolve the permission question, not to ask a stranger for an alternative account.
A Thai page can still lead to a foreign agreement
The global FBS corporate disclosure identifies FBS Markets Inc in Belize. The agreement associated with the specific account is what matters. A Thai translation, local event or support conversation does not automatically change that company into a Thai licensed investment provider.
Before relying on any protection claim, ask which entity holds the agreement, which authority supervises the offered service and how a complaint would be handled. Keep the original disclosure and agreement. A comparison table assembled from several FBS jurisdictions cannot answer those questions for one account.
Use baht records to reconcile existing transactions
If you already have an account, retain both the THB amount debited by the payment provider and the amount credited to the trading account. They describe different sides of the same transaction. A spread or fee in the conversion can explain part of a discrepancy; it does not by itself establish a trading loss or wrongdoing.
As an illustration, THB 3,500 paid for USD 100 credited implies THB 35 per dollar before any separately charged fee. This is not a current rate, verified FBS payment route or suggestion to fund an account. Use your actual receipts when investigating a transaction. For a return payment, compare the dollar deduction with the baht received and the provider’s conversion record.
The withdrawal guide explains FBS’s documented procedure. Local restrictions remain a separate issue, and no withdrawal-time promise should be inferred from this guide. We did not test Thai bank transfers or any named wallet.
Thai bonus promotions do not override the notices
A bonus headline in Thai does not resolve the SEC alert or BOT warning. Older campaign pages can remain searchable after terms change, and a global deposit-bonus PDF does not confirm an offer for every Thai resident. Read the FBS bonus explanation for the distinction between trading credit and cash.
For an existing account with credit, ask how closure or withdrawal affects it before giving instructions. Do not add funds merely to keep a promotion active or to unlock a purported payout. Any request for extra money should be checked against the exact agreement and official support.
A practical route for existing users
- Save the account agreement, payment records and the message describing the problem.
- If you cannot sign in, distinguish the FBS profile from the trading account using the login guide.
- If identity or residence details are incorrect, use the verification guide and the provider’s documented correction process.
- For a payment issue, contact official support with references and dates, not passwords.
- For local legality, solicitation or an unrecognised recipient, seek help through the official Thai authority or your bank.
Do not use a different country setting to resolve a residence restriction. The country directory explains why residence, language and the contracting entity must be assessed independently.

Common questions
What does the Thai SEC alert say about FBS?
The entry names FBS and labels the action “Unlicensed digital asset business.” Its stated last-update date was 3 July 2026 when reviewed. Read that precise category, not a broader paraphrase.
Does a Thai-language FBS website prove local permission?
No. Website language does not establish the company’s Thai authorisation or the permissions for a particular product or transfer.
Can I send baht through a local agent?
Do not assume that such a route is authorised. The Bank of Thailand warning covers unauthorised forex business and related transfers; ask the relevant authority or your authorised bank.
Can a Thai resident use an FBS no-deposit bonus?
This review does not establish eligibility. A promotion cannot override local restrictions, and old campaign pages are not evidence of a current offer.
What if I already have money in an FBS account?
Preserve receipts and account records, contact official support about the existing balance and seek appropriate local guidance. Do not send extra money to an unverified recovery intermediary.
