Solana Profit Calculator
Calculate gross and net Solana profit or loss from entered direction, SOL prices, position quantity, unit convention, price increment, currency conversion and total costs.
Enter the Solana price path
Use confirmed fills or clearly hypothetical SOL prices with the exact position-unit convention. The calculator retrieves no quote, forecasts no exit and does not reproduce an account statement.

How Solana profit and loss is calculated
Gross quote-currency P/L = direction-adjusted price change × SOL per quantity unit × entered quantity
Gross account-currency P/L = gross quote P/L × quote-to-account rate
Net entered P/L = gross account P/L − entered total costs
The core arithmetic applies direction to closing price minus opening price, then multiplies by the entered position units. The exact unit convention is required because spot quantities and derivative contracts are not interchangeable.
The entered price increment expresses the movement as smaller ticks. It does not independently change gross money because full price difference times units already contains the same identity.
Net P/L subtracts only the nonnegative account-currency total entered by the user. Fees, spread, funding, slippage, conversion and tax can affect a real result.
A careful Solana profit-calculation workflow
- Identify the exact spot, CFD, perpetual or futures product and its quantity convention.
- Verify price increment, quote or settlement currency and current product availability.
- Choose long or short and enter confirmed fills or clearly hypothetical prices.
- Enter position quantity under the same unit convention used by the product.
- Enter the scenario conversion rate and complete known account-currency costs.
- For a completed trade, reconcile fills, funding, fees and conversion against the statement.
Audited worked example
The audited example is a long entered at USD 190 and exited at USD 205, using 12 entered quantity units, 1 SOL per unit, an entered USD 0.01 increment, USD-to-USD conversion 1 and USD 4 total costs. Gross P/L is USD 180 and net entered P/L is USD 176, or about 7.7193% of the USD 2,280 opening notional.
How to interpret it
USD 176 describes only the entered price path, quantity convention and costs. It is not expected weekly or monthly income. A reversed long move is negative, and funding, fees, fills or conversion can make an account statement differ.
Spot SOL and Solana derivatives do not share one automatic trading unit
SOL/USD and SOLUSDT can label spot assets, broker CFDs, perpetual contracts or dated futures. Spot uses an asset quantity; derivatives can use their own contract multiplier, margin system and price increment. A related SOL price does not make these units interchangeable.
| Product | Trading unit | Price-move unit | Specification owner | Correct workflow |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spot SOL | Entered SOL amount | Venue price increment | Exchange or venue | Enter 1 SOL per quantity unit when that matches the order |
| Solana CFD | Broker lots or contracts | Entered broker point or tick | Broker server symbol | Enter the broker contract multiplier |
| SOL perpetual or future | Venue contracts or quantity | Venue tick | Derivatives venue | Enter the exact contract and margin terms |
No Solana unit or price increment is pre-certified. The audited example deliberately uses one SOL per entered quantity unit, and every field remains editable so a user can replace that hypothetical convention with current product terms.
Assumptions and limits
- No live, delayed, settlement or forecast Solana price is retrieved.
- The entered product, quantity unit, increment and conversion are not independently verified.
- One total-cost field cannot reconstruct fees, spread, funding or slippage.
- Opening notional is descriptive exposure, not margin, cash paid or maximum loss.
- Product eligibility, order rejection, liquidation, custody and tax are outside the model.
- The output is scenario arithmetic, not a profit promise, signal or financial advice.
Where to verify Solana inputs and availability
Open the exact SOL spot or derivative specification. Confirm quantity or contract units, price increment, settlement currency, minimum, maximum and step, calculation mode, trading hours, fees, funding and client permissions. A platform or venue supplies its current product values; the page does not infer them from the symbol label.
Confirm that the product and client classification are legally available in the relevant jurisdiction. The FCA prohibition on firms selling, distributing or marketing cryptoasset derivatives to UK retail clients remains in force. This page does not determine residency, professional status, broker permissions or regulatory eligibility.
Leveraged CFDs can produce rapid losses. Protection, availability and contract terms depend on jurisdiction, entity and client classification; the calculator does not determine which rules apply to a user.
Frequently asked questions
- Apply long or short direction to exit minus entry, multiply by entered SOL units per quantity and entered quantity, convert currency, then subtract entered total costs.
- The direction factor reverses the raw price change, so a lower entered exit is favorable and a higher entered exit is unfavorable before costs.
- Yes, as manual arithmetic when one entered quantity unit equals one SOL and the entered costs and conversion match the transaction.
- Yes, only after entering the exact contract or quantity multiplier used by that product. The page does not infer it from SOLUSD or SOLUSDT.
- Enter a verified account-currency total for the whole scenario. The page does not invent fees, spread, funding, slippage or tax.
- No. Opening price times position units describes exposure; required margin, cash paid and maximum loss follow different rules.
- No. It is arithmetic for one entered SOL price path and says nothing about probability, repeatability or future performance.
- No. It retrieves no live, delayed, settlement or forecast SOL price and connects to no wallet, broker or exchange.
