FBS CopyTrade Status: The Closure Date and What the Current Leaderboard Does

Understand FBS CopyTrade's September 2022 closure and avoid confusing the historical service with today's informational leaderboard.

FBS CopyTrade status editorial guide cover

FBS’s official notice says its CopyTrade service closed on 22 September 2022. Old app reviews, installation instructions and promotional pages should therefore not be presented as a current way to copy trades with FBS.

FBS now has public “Top traders” and “Most profitable trades” pages, but their FAQ says trades cannot be copied from that page. It is an informational leaderboard, not evidence that the historical CopyTrade service has returned.

What the official closure notice says

DateDocumented change
Until 22 August 2022The notice said the existing service continued normally
After 22 August 2022New investments stopped
22 September 2022Accounts were unshared and the CopyTrade app stopped working

The FBS notice for CopyTrade traders is the primary source for this timeline. It also addresses commission for successfully closed investments. That historical statement does not establish the status of a particular old account or payment.

A page still being accessible years later does not make its old product active. The wording and dates inside the page matter more than whether a search result calls it a download or earning opportunity.

What the current leaderboard actually shows

FBS’s current top-trades page describes selected profitable closed positions and an hourly leaderboard. Its FAQ explicitly says the page is informational and cannot be used to copy trades from it.

That distinction matters because a table of profitable positions can look like a strategy-selection screen. A leaderboard entry does not provide the complete risk history of an account. It does not by itself show deposits, withdrawals, exposure, open losses or a representative long-term record.

Likewise, a large winning position does not establish a repeatable strategy or an appropriate volume for someone else. Position size can explain a large currency profit without proving that the trade involved a small risk. Treat the page as provider-selected information, not a personal trading recommendation.

Products that should not be confused

Name or featureWhat it represents here
FBS CopyTradeThe historical service covered by the 2022 closure notice
FBS top-trades leaderboardCurrent informational display with no copying from the page
FBS appAccount management and self-directed trading features
MT4 and MT5Trading platforms with their own account and software requirements

The fact that a platform can support other automation or signal arrangements does not establish that FBS provides or endorses a particular copying service. This guide did not verify a current FBS-branded copy-trading replacement, subscribe to a signal provider or test automated copying.

What you can check instead

If your immediate aim is to learn the platform, the FBS demo guide explains the virtual-money option. FBS describes demo access through MT4, MT5 and its app. That allows practice without interpreting someone else’s profitable screenshot as a strategy you must follow.

If you already have a trading workflow, compare the MT4 guide, MT5 guide and FBS app guide. Those pages address current software and account-management tasks. None of them guarantees that an external signal service is compatible or profitable.

A sensible next step is to define what you actually need: chart access, mobile order management, a particular indicator, or an automated strategy that you understand. “Copy trading” is not a substitute for understanding the service’s permissions, costs and loss risk.

If you have an old CopyTrade account issue

  1. Identify the historical account. Collect the registration email and relevant account references privately.
  2. Record the issue precisely. Distinguish login access, an old investment, a commission question or a payment question.
  3. Preserve dated evidence. Keep the relevant notice, transaction record and prior support correspondence.
  4. Use current official FBS support. Ask what happened to the specific account and which current process applies.
  5. Request a clear written explanation. Keep the reference and any next steps with the historical record.

Do not install an unknown application or disclose old credentials to someone claiming they can restore CopyTrade. An app with a similar name or logo is not proof it is a current official service. The support guide lists the documented contact and complaint process.

How to check a claim that CopyTrade is back

Look for a current announcement on the official FBS domain, current product terms, an official download route and a clear account process. Check the date, operating company and country eligibility. A repost of the old closure or launch page does not satisfy those checks.

If the claim refers instead to a third-party copying arrangement, identify the actual provider and the permissions it requests. Do not infer that the arrangement is part of FBS’s old app. Consider whether it could place trades, change risk or incur charges without you reviewing each decision.

The main FBS review separates the products and limitations verified in this review. The login guide helps distinguish current Trader Area and MetaTrader access when old instructions create confusion.

Frequently asked questions

Is FBS CopyTrade still available?

The official notice says the service closed on 22 September 2022. This review did not verify a current replacement under that name.

Can I copy the current FBS leaderboard trades?

The leaderboard’s FAQ says no. It describes the page as informational.

Does the FBS app mean CopyTrade returned?

No. The current app’s documented account-management and trading functions do not establish that the historical copying service has returned.

What should I do about an old CopyTrade balance or commission?

Collect the account reference and dated records privately, then ask official FBS support for the account-specific explanation. This guide cannot determine an old balance.

Does copying a successful trader remove risk?

No. Another trader’s past result does not establish your future outcome or suitable exposure. A selected winning trade is not a complete performance record.

Status checked against public FBS pages on 9 September 2026. No old account, copying service or customer balance was accessed.
