FBS Philippines: SEC Advisory and Existing Account Help

Read the Philippine SEC’s FBS advisory before considering an account. Understand PHP payment claims and organise help for an existing balance.

Check local eligibility and official notices
FBS Philippines editorial guide cover

The Philippine SEC has issued an advisory stating that the named FBS entities and individuals offering investments under the FBS name are not authorised to solicit investments from the public. The official page is dated 8 January 2026. Philippine readers should start with that warning, rather than an account-opening button, a GCash claim or a bonus promotion.

This guide explains the advisory’s practical significance and the records an existing customer can organise. It does not recommend opening or funding FBS from the Philippines. The main FBS review discusses the global provider, whose foreign registration does not cancel the Philippine notice.

What the Philippine SEC actually published

The official SEC advisory page names FBS, FBS Philippines, FBS Markets Inc., FBS Broker, FBS Trading Broker and FBS Forex Broker Online. Its linked advisory PDF states on its first page that the named entities and individuals offering investments under that name are not authorised to solicit investments from the public.

The first page also refers to fbs.com and the FBS mobile application. This is therefore more specific than a generic warning to be careful with online trading. Read the original notice and its exact names when evaluating a sales message, social-media group or invitation.

Do not infer that an accessible website, a downloaded app or a successful account form establishes local permission. Those are technical events, not regulatory decisions. If someone claims the notice has been superseded, ask for a later official SEC source and verify it independently.

Why a foreign FBS licence does not answer the warning

The global FBS disclosure identifies FBS Markets Inc in Belize. A foreign company’s regulatory status and its permission to solicit Philippine residents are different questions. Showing an overseas licence number does not by itself rebut a Philippine SEC advisory.

This distinction also applies to a payment company or introducing representative. The company receiving a transfer may not be the company responsible for the trading agreement. Keep the names and roles separate when asking for an explanation. A local contact or a familiar payment brand cannot replace the relevant authorisation.

GCash and PHP claims need careful interpretation

We have not verified GCash or another Philippine wallet or bank route within a resident FBS account. A third-party article saying that a method is supported is not evidence that it is available today, permitted for the proposed purpose or operated by the company you believe you are paying.

For an existing transaction, record the PHP debit, the recipient, the reference and the credited trading-account currency. If the account shows USD, a peso payment does not turn it into a PHP account. Conversion and separately charged fees can explain differences that are invisible in a cropped account screenshot.

As a reconciliation example only, PHP 5,800 debited and USD 100 credited implies PHP 58 per dollar before separate fees. This is not a live rate, a verified FBS quote or an invitation to fund an account. Use actual receipts to reconcile money already sent.

If a person asks you to move funds through their personal wallet to bypass a failed transaction, stop and confirm the position with your payment provider and the relevant authority. A workaround does not resolve the SEC warning.

If you already hold an account or balance

  1. Save the agreement, account statements and original payment receipts in a private place.
  2. Record the exact company, website and contact used when the account was created.
  3. For an access problem, distinguish the profile credentials from the MetaTrader credentials using the login guide.
  4. For existing funds, ask official FBS support about the account’s status and documented return process.
  5. Keep the support response with your records and seek assistance through the SEC’s official channels where the warning or solicitation is relevant.

The withdrawal guide describes the provider’s general procedure, not a tested Philippine payout route. For a rejection or delay, the problem guide helps you separate the transaction status from the bank or wallet’s receipt of funds.

Do not make another deposit just because someone says it is needed for tax, verification or a release charge. Request the precise contractual basis and independently confirm the recipient before acting. No legitimate review can guarantee recovery from a screenshot or chat message.

The advisory comes before a bonus offer

A bonus advertisement does not settle the local authorisation issue. The FBS bonus guide distinguishes historical offers and documented deposit credit, but it does not establish Philippine eligibility. A global promotion should not be presented as a local invitation while ignoring the SEC notice.

If an existing account contains credit, ask how a requested withdrawal or closure affects the credit and your own funds. Keep that answer with the terms that applied to the account. Do not confuse a large promotional figure with cash that can be sent to a Philippine wallet.

Use the country directory to understand how residence and contracting entity change the analysis. If you need to identify a document request concerning an existing account, the verification guide explains the provider’s public requirements. It does not establish that new onboarding is permitted locally.

The useful next step is to read the primary notice and clarify the status of any existing relationship. A generic broker comparison, influencer endorsement or promotional screenshot is not a substitute for that evidence.

Common questions

What does the Philippine SEC say about FBS?

Its January 2026 advisory says the named FBS entities and individuals offering investments under the FBS name are not authorised to solicit investments from the public. Read the official notice for its scope.

Does an overseas licence remove the Philippine warning?

No. Foreign registration and permission to solicit Philippine residents are separate issues. A later contrary claim requires a verifiable official source.

Can I deposit through GCash?

This review did not verify that route and does not recommend funding in light of the advisory. An available payment channel would not itself establish authorisation.

What should an existing FBS customer do?

Preserve the agreement and receipts, contact official support about existing funds and use the SEC’s official assistance channels where appropriate. Do not pay an unverified recovery agent.

Is an FBS Philippines bonus safe to claim?

A promotion does not resolve the SEC advisory or establish eligibility. Do not treat promotional credit as withdrawable peso cash or a reason to send more money.
