A Dubai address can belong to an introduction service or to the firm providing the trading account. Keep those roles separate when reading a licence badge or comparing an offer. Our XM broker review covers the wider assessment; the XM country guides explain the local questions.
Which XM company would hold your account?
The xm.ae regulatory page, checked on 8 September 2026, describes a UAE introduction and promotion service. It names XM International MU Limited as the account provider for that arrangement. The separate XM MENA website is operated by Trading Point MENA Limited in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
| Company | Role shown by the source | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| XM Financial Products Promotion L.L.C | The xm.ae page states a UAE Capital Market Authority Category 5 licence, number 20200000322, for introduction and promotion. It says the company cannot hold client money. | Who provides the account after the introduction? |
| XM International MU Limited | The same route names this Mauritius company as account provider and cites Financial Services Commission licence GB23202700. | Does your agreement name this company? |
| Trading Point MENA Limited | A separate DIFC firm listed in the DFSA register under F003484. | Does this company’s agreement apply to your account? |
The Dubai Financial Services Authority register corroborates Trading Point MENA Limited and lists retail-client and client-assets endorsements. That record belongs to the named firm. It does not make an account with the Mauritius company a DFSA account.

This distinction changes which agreement and complaint process you need. The UAE legal-document page identifies its business terms as those of XM International MU Limited. Save the agreement that applies to your application instead of collecting licence numbers from across the group.
How should you check the route before applying?
The xm.ae footer limits its introduction service to UAE residents. That describes the service’s geographic scope; it does not confirm that every resident or nationality will be accepted. Use your actual residence throughout the application.
- Open the intended official website directly and read its company details before entering personal information.
- Identify whether you are dealing with the UAE introducer, XM International MU Limited or Trading Point MENA Limited.
- Compare the legal name and licence reference with the relevant regulator’s record. Resolve a mismatch before proceeding.
- Read the agreement and privacy information attached to your actual application. Keep a dated copy for your records.
- Check the proposed client classification and available products. A familiar account name does not establish identical terms across companies.
- If you already have an account, ask which company holds it. Do not assume a newer website or a move to Dubai transfers an existing account.
You should finish this check with a company name, an agreement and a support route that belong together. Our broker-selection checklist explains how to compare the trading conditions after that identity check.
What should you prepare for registration and verification?
Prepare accurate information before starting, then follow the document request you actually receive. This review did not test a UAE application or establish that one particular Emirates ID, passport or address document is sufficient for every account. A general document checklist cannot replace the provider’s current requirements.
- Use an email address and phone number you control, and check that your legal name is entered consistently.
- State your current residence accurately. If a move or renewal has left your records inconsistent, explain the issue through the official support route.
- Read the requested identity and address evidence, including any stated date, format or translation requirements.
- Prepare clear copies with the requested details visible. Check that names, document validity and address information agree with the application.
- Complete the financial-background and trading-experience questions accurately where requested. An account classification should reflect your circumstances.
- Upload documents through the provider’s official secure process and keep its confirmation or request reference. Follow the stated next step if further evidence is needed.
For the Mauritius route, sections 28 and 29 of the XM International MU agreement describe identity checks and accurate residence, contact and payment details. Use that agreement only where it applies to your account.
A saved application, an uploaded file and a verified profile are different stages. Check the status shown to you before attempting to fund the account. The XM registration and verification guide covers the wider preparation sequence without replacing the requirements of your UAE route.
Which accounts and minimum deposits are displayed?
The two public menus checked on 8 September 2026 differ. The xm.ae account page displays Standard, Ultra Low and Shares. The MENA account page displays Ultra Low and Professional.
| Public route | Account shown | Advertised minimum |
|---|---|---|
| xm.ae | Standard / Ultra Low | USD 5 each |
| xm.ae | Shares | USD 10,000 |
| xm.com/mena | Ultra Low / Professional | USD 5 each |
These are dated public account minimums. They do not establish the payment methods available to you, the minimum accepted by a particular method, or a suitable trading budget. Shares is a separate product choice; its figure should not be presented as the opening minimum for every forex account.
The MENA client-categorisation policy says clients are initially treated as retail unless a different classification is requested and its criteria are met. The Professional product card requires those policy criteria. Its name alone does not establish your regulatory classification. Read the firm’s classification notice and any warning about protections that may be lost.
- Write down the provider and account name together before comparing costs.
- Check the platform, account base currency and contract size for the instruments you intend to study.
- Compare spreads, commissions and overnight charges using the same trade assumptions.
- Read any swap-free conditions separately. A label alone does not explain every possible charge.
- Check your client classification and any consequences before requesting a change.
- Keep account minimums separate from the payment minimum and the money your own plan can afford to put at risk.
Use the XM account-types comparison for the shared comparison method and the minimum-deposit guide for the difference between account and payment limits.
How do you calculate the AED cost of a deposit?
First identify the two currencies: the currency leaving your payment account and the currency credited to the trading account. AED is the UAE dirham, but a UAE address does not establish an AED trading-account base. Read both fields before comparing quotations.
Consider a hypothetical USD 500 credit. Suppose the payment quote uses 3.70 AED per USD and adds a separate AED 18.50 fee. The conversion is USD 500 × 3.70 = AED 1,850; the total debit is AED 1,850 + AED 18.50 = AED 1,868.50.

The effective cost in this example is AED 1,868.50 ÷ USD 500 = 3.737 AED per USD credited. None of those numbers is a live exchange rate or XM fee quotation. The separate fee is added to the debit; it is not deducted from the stated USD 500 credit.
- Check the selected trading account and its currency.
- Choose only a method offered to your verified account and confirm the payment-account ownership requirements.
- Record the amount to be credited, the conversion quote and the amount leaving the payment account.
- Check whether each fee is added to the debit or deducted from the credit. Include any disclosed bank or intermediary charges.
- Compare the total debit for the same net credit, then save the quotation and transaction reference if you proceed.
Our reference currency converter can help you understand the units; its reference output is not the payment provider’s offer. Once the account currency is clear, use a written trading plan to separate funding costs from the amount you can afford to risk.
How do you connect the correct trading platform?
The MENA MT5 page lists desktop, mobile and web options. The xm.ae navigation also lists MT4. Check the platform assigned to your account before downloading; one route’s menu does not prove that another account supports the same client.
The following desktop MT5 steps follow MetaQuotes’ account-connection instructions. They are platform guidance, not a test of a UAE trading account.
- Get the platform through the official route for your provider and device.
- Locate the trading-account number, trading password and exact server in your account details.
- In desktop MT5, choose File → Login to Trade Account.
- Enter your assigned login, password and server, then confirm the connection. Do not substitute the website password or another company’s server.
- Check the connected account’s identity and whether it is demo or real. Use a demo account for practice.
- If you can view the account but cannot trade, check whether you used investor access. MetaQuotes describes investor access as read-only for trading.
Our XM MT5 setup guide explains the controls in more detail. Use the XM MT4 guide only where your account supports MT4. The demo-account guide helps you choose practice settings without treating virtual results as proof of live execution.
For gold, inspect the XAU/USD contract size, tick value, minimum volume and margin settings shown for that account. Do not copy a forex-pair lot size onto a gold order. The position-size calculator can help with the arithmetic once those inputs and the planned stop distance are correct.
How should you prepare a withdrawal or support request?
Use the withdrawal conditions attached to the company holding your account. Record the original funding method and ownership before deciding where money should return. This review does not establish a universal UAE bank method, fee or arrival deadline.
- Confirm the provider, trading-account number and amount currently available to withdraw.
- Check required verification, eligible return methods and any restrictions stated for the original payment.
- Review open positions and margin before reducing the account balance. A displayed balance alone does not settle the amount available.
- Record the requested amount, currencies, time and reference after submitting through the official process.
- Separate the provider’s request status from receipt by your bank or wallet. If a transfer is marked sent, ask for the trace information the receiving provider needs.
- If the issue persists, use the complaint procedure in the applicable agreement. Include a short timeline and the records needed to identify the transaction.
For an XM International MU account, section 74 allows payment checks, additional documents and applicable charges; return-method rules also apply. Section 94 describes the information needed for a complaint. Keep the records above so you can explain the issue without guessing a bank-arrival deadline.
A useful support message states the account company, request reference, amount, currency and the stage that has stopped moving. Do not include your password. Our XM withdrawal guide explains the stages, while the broker-withdrawal checklist helps organise the evidence.
Which mistakes cause avoidable confusion?
- Using a group licence as your account identity. Read the legal company in the agreement and match its permissions.
- Treating Professional as an automatic upgrade. Check the assessment and protection changes before requesting reclassification.
- Comparing only the advertised exchange rate. Compare total AED debit for the same net account credit.
- Assuming a UAE bank account guarantees a payment route. Check the methods available to your own account.
- Guessing a MetaTrader server. Use the platform version and server assigned to the trading account.
Forex and CFD trading carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all traders. The strategies and indicators described in this article are educational. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Always test on a demo account before risking real capital.
XM UAE FAQs
Is XM regulated by the DFSA?
Trading Point MENA Limited appears in the DFSA register under F003484. That answer applies to the named DIFC firm. The xm.ae introduction route instead names XM International MU Limited as its account provider, so check which company is in your agreement.
Does the UAE introduction company hold my deposit?
The xm.ae disclosure says XM Financial Products Promotion L.L.C offers introduction and promotion services and is not authorised to hold client money. It identifies a separate account provider. Follow the payment instructions for your actual account after verifying that company and the relevant terms.
Can every UAE resident open an account?
The xm.ae service is expressly directed to UAE residents, but that does not guarantee individual acceptance. The provider must still assess the actual application. Keep your residence and personal information accurate, and obtain clarification if the company or available service is unclear.
Can I deposit AED or choose an AED account?
Payment currency and account base currency are different questions. This review did not verify an AED base or a particular UAE bank or wallet method. Check the options shown to your account, the net amount credited and the complete AED debit before authorising a payment.
Is the minimum deposit USD 5?
The public menus checked on 8 September 2026 show USD 5 for selected accounts, including Standard and Ultra Low on xm.ae and Ultra Low and Professional on MENA. The xm.ae Shares minimum is different. Payment-method limits and Professional eligibility require separate checks.
Do I need a Professional account to use MENA?
The MENA policy describes retail clients and sets criteria for other classifications. A Professional account is not a requirement created by its low advertised deposit minimum. Read the classification notice and any loss-of-protection warning before asking the firm to change your status.
Which UAE documents will XM accept?
Use the current document request for the company handling your application. This review does not establish a universal Emirates ID or address-document rule. Prepare consistent, legible identity and address evidence, then resolve any expiry, name or residence mismatch through the official verification process.
Will a successful login prove my withdrawal will work?
No. Platform access confirms only that the credentials connect to an account with particular permissions. A withdrawal depends on the account’s available funds, verification and applicable payment rules. Keep the request reference and track the provider’s handling separately from receipt of the money.
