A familiar logo can appear on pages describing different companies. So can similar account names. The useful first step is matching your residence, the official route and the company on the agreement. This directory helps you make that match before working through a platform or payment tutorial.

Choose by residence, rather than by nationality, the language you prefer or the currency displayed on a page. If you are moving country or your documents show an old address, establish the correct process with the provider before changing your account details. Do not select a different residence to get past a restriction.
Which XM route should you use?
| Your question | Useful check | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Which brand is this? | Read the official domain, page identity and local guide. | The Japan guide uses XMTrading. Its account menu and portal should not be replaced with global XM instructions. |
| Which company holds the account? | Read the actual agreement and identify any separate intermediary. | A licence or office belonging to one company does not automatically describe another company’s account. |
| Can I apply from my residence? | Use the current provider process and resolve any conflicting eligibility message. | A country selector, translated page or affiliate link does not guarantee acceptance. |
| What is the local position? | Read relevant local sources separately from the provider’s licence disclosures. | Client acceptance, local authorization and access restrictions answer different questions. |
| Can I use my preferred currency? | Check both account base currency and the available payment route. | A bank debiting your local currency does not prove that the trading account uses it. |
The global XM broker review covers the broader service and customer-feedback concerns. Our forex broker selection checklist helps you compare those findings with your own requirements. A country guide adds the local detail; it does not remove trading or counterparty risk.
For the arrangements described on the UAE sites, use our XM UAE guide to distinguish the local introduction service from the separate DIFC firm and work through an AED payment quote.
A practical checklist before account setup
- Open the relevant country guide. Read the brand and company section first. Keep the guide’s checked date in mind when comparing it with the current provider page.
- Confirm your circumstances. Check actual residence, any applicable citizenship requirements and the agreement presented to you. Resolve a mismatch before submitting personal documents.
- Compare the offered accounts. Record platform, base currency, contract size, minimum trade volume and costs. Look beyond the advertised deposit threshold.
- Prepare access and verification. Use an email you control and follow the document requirements shown in the verified process. Portal access and MetaTrader trading credentials are different.
- Check how money can return. Review the deposit method’s ownership rules, conversion, fees and permitted withdrawal destination before funding. Keep transaction records private.
- Choose the next task. Use the guides below for detailed account, demo and platform instructions. Practise on a demo account when learning the controls.
You have completed this check when you can name the account provider, explain the account you selected and identify the current funding and withdrawal conditions. A screenshot from another trader cannot supply those answers for your account.
Continue with the task you need to finish
| Task | Guide | What to have ready |
|---|---|---|
| Register and verify | XM account opening and verification | Your correct residence and the current document instructions. |
| Compare account choices | XM account types | The actual account menu offered by your provider. |
| Understand the minimum | XM minimum deposits | Account currency and the selected payment method. |
| Request or trace a withdrawal | XM withdrawal guide | Deposit history, destination and current request status. |
| Practise before trading live | XM demo account | The intended platform and appropriate virtual-account settings. |
| Connect your terminal | XM MT4 setup or XM MT5 setup | The correct platform, login and exact assigned server. |
| Evaluate an offer | XM bonus conditions | The offer’s current terms for your country and account. |
Japan readers should use the XMTrading country guide first. Shared trading concepts can still be useful, but a global XM product table or login route may not describe an XMTrading account.
For the arithmetic, use the currency converter as a dated reference, the lot-size calculator to estimate planned cash risk, and the margin calculator for collateral. Supply the actual contract and account assumptions. Required margin is different from the amount a trade could lose.
If your country is not listed here
This is a collection of country guides, not an exhaustive list of accepted or rejected residences. An absent guide does not tell you whether XM serves your country. Read the current official eligibility information and the agreement offered to you, then resolve any uncertainty through a verified support channel.
Keep the questions specific: which company would provide the account, whether your actual residence is accepted, which account and currency choices apply, and where its current funding and withdrawal conditions are published. Do not borrow another country’s payment instructions because the names look familiar.
Country guide questions
Does an XM affiliate link guarantee that my country is accepted?
No. An affiliate link identifies a referral route. The provider still applies its eligibility, verification and account requirements. Read the current terms for your circumstances before completing registration or transferring money.
Is XMTrading the same setup as XM?
The Japan-facing XMTrading service has its own account information and portal guidance. Use its dedicated country guide and official sources. Do not substitute a global XM account table or server example for the details assigned to an XMTrading account.
Why are mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau separate?
Residence, local rules and the account route need to be checked for the relevant jurisdiction. A Chinese-language page does not make those places interchangeable. The mainland guide does not establish Hong Kong or Macau eligibility.
Can I use the same deposit method in every country?
Do not assume so. Check the methods offered to your verified account, including currency, limits, charges and withdrawal rules. The local bank currency and trading-account base currency are separate choices.
Forex and CFDs involve a high risk of loss. These guides provide research and practical education, not a personal account-acceptance decision or a guarantee of trading or withdrawal outcomes.
